Philip Rodriguez
Philip loved the outdoors as a child and at the age of 8 he spent a summer on wild pig ranch and caught his first piglet running around a watering hole. Around this age he also learned about Jesus and their relationship began…
Philip always had a desire for hunting. He loved reading hunting magazines and watching YouTube videos. About two years before attending The Foothills, he and his beautiful wife took a hunters safety course. When they visited The Foothills they immediately fell in love with the church. The Hunters for Christ ministry was a clear attraction. They signed up for their first hunt together, and were well received by Pro Staffers Kevin, Gian, and Rene. They now call The Foothills their home.
Why does Philip hunt?
He loves the smells and sounds of nature (taking it all in, Ahhh!), he loves seeing wildlife up close n personal, (not on TV, not in a Zoo {well, sometimes}), he enjoys the physical and mental challenge (even waking up in freezing temps), he enjoys eating organic meat (if he is successful), he enjoys the fellowship and memories created, and he loves the (no cell phone reception) quit time with Christ.
Philip enjoys all things involving marksmanship. He is a Certified NRA Pistol Instructor and enjoys teaching safe firearm handling.
The Hunters for Christ ministry shows men that Christianity does not have to be boring, it’s ok to have other interest and do those things with Christ. A relationship with Christ is 24/7, he is always waiting for an invite to hang out with us.
