Gary Wright

Hello fellow Christians, Hunters, and future Friends,

My name is Gary Wright. I’ve been into hunting and fishing for as long as I can remember. My father started taking me fishing when I was really young, about three or four I think. My mother’s father AKA (Granpa Hollis) started taking me hunting when I was about 9 years old. I never got to shoot anything, but I really loved going with him. I got my hunting license when I was 12 years old and also got my first 12 gauge. That was when I started duck hunting. Unfortunately when I got older, I got caught up in drugs and alcohol. I spent several years caught up in my disease of Alcoholism. It got so bad that I stopped hunting.

But on September 20, 1998 I found God and he graced me with sobriety. I have not touched a drop ever sense that day. In 2000, I started hunting again and have been very active ever since. For me, duck hunting is my passion. I would go every day if I could!!!!!!! In July of 2012, I was dating someone and she introduced me to The Foothills. When I’m at The Foothills I feel like I’m at home. Everyone is friendly and loving. It was shortly after that I found Jesus. In August of 2013, I got baptized. Ever since then,my life just keeps getting better. That is of course, when I stay out of the way and let God run it. Hope to see you out in the field or better yet at church on Sunday.
